monday night cookout

every monday night during the summer all the IV goers/IV alumni that are left in Wilmington get together for dinner. due to being really busy with school i'd only gone to one of them before last night. The idea was that we would go to a different person's place every week but really we've just been flip flopping back and forth between 2 different apartments. so it was decided that last night we'd go to the seahawk village (where i am living next year) clubhouse/pool and grill out. it was a good call.

i had some of that chicken. oh man it was good.

well aren't we a colorful group

and then there was awhile where a bunch of people tried to stick their fists in their mouths. not entirely sure why.... i chose not to participate due to a certain jaw surgery that left my mouth to not open very wide, a quality that was definitely ensure my failure in this game.

the aquarium

nathan and i went to the aquarium thats about a half an hour away last saturday

a sign hanging next to a ledge that sits over a huge open tank full of various types of rays (please do not sit, perch, roost, stand, hang on, lie down on, recline, or situate yourself on the counter top. falling could be dangerous)

more sea creatures:

HUGE eel. *shudder*

my friends and i do this thing where we'll sneak up on each other and yell "barnacle" and then bite the person we snuck up on. so when we saw barnacles on the bottom of this whale, it was an exciting event.
