Hawk it Out

our friend Kristy was in Hawk it Out which is this huge dance competition on campus. so we made tshirts that spelled out her name as well as signs and then went to support her.

the back of our shirts all had her signature dances on them. they're hard to read but they say: do the funky chicken, do the blender, do the q-tip, do the shopping cart, do the sprinkler, and sponsored by dr. pepper.

ok so this is my favorite show:

so this is how my evening went down. around 6:45 my friend sarah who is also obsessed with one tree hill comes running into my room screaming that james lafferty who plays nathan on the show is in the rec center on campus. (as you might know, one tree hill is filmed in wilmington, which is also the town i currently live in) her friend who works there had called her to say he had just checked in. we arrived at the gym at about 6:48. we don't see him anywhere. we figured he was probably in the locker room or something so we decide to go upstairs to walk the track because it circles the gym and you can see the whole gym from it. so we climb the stairs, i'm leading the way and nearly bump into someone stretching at the top of the stairs. the guy turns to look at us and i'm face to face with james lafferty. we didn't want to bother him though because he was about to play basketball so we just pass him like nothings up and he goes back down to the court to play. this is the point that i realize that i'm standing in the gym in jeans and vans and its quite obvious why i'm there. then i realized that i didn't care. so we went back downstairs and watched the basketball game until he was done and on the way out....

we asked for a picture. the three girls you see in this picture will conveniently be sharing an apartment next year. if you visit us, expect to see this picture poster sized in a prominant location.

this one is just cropped differntly but you can see that i'm wearing jeans in the gym so i thought i'd add it hahaha.

Easter and the week before

i went to and easter egg dying party at my friend's apartment. i only dyed one egg.

i actually managed to get it teal. when you're first egg is this awesome, why keep going?

saturday jenn, leah, liz and i went to the UNCW track meet that our friend thaddeus was running in. we made signs.

i realize it looks like hes losing in this one but all the other runners aren't even in the picture. he came in third and beat his best time.

one tree hill!!

so today one tree hill was being filmed in the education building on campus and i went and watched. i got to see sophia bush who is one of the actresses in the show (in the red dress) and watch them film a scene. they transformed the lobby of the building into an airport terminal:
