a weekend in the hill

Friday:
i arrived by bus in raleigh around 9:30 where gilly and carmen picked me up

Saturday:

down time in carmen's dorm room:

we went to the first football game of the season:

kim and nick saved us seats in the student section, then gilly went in to help them hold the seats, then carmen and i went back to the dorm to get carolina blue clothes and i had to go in a different entrance than carmen so when i called to find them, kim and nick and gilly stood up and danced so i would be able to see them. it worked. its hard to see but this is them dancing

fun

before the game started the announcer told us to look up and there was a plane flying overhead and 2 guys jumped out of it. one of them was carrying the game ball and the other was carrying the carolina flag. they both landed on the field. this is the guy carrying the football

we scored a touchdown within the first 28 seconds

on the shuttle after dinner that night. i lost an earring

Sunday:

after church in the parking lot of chilis

back at carmen's dorm. some rooms have AC which are the big boxes in the windows. the windows without AC you will most likely see a fan or two or five in.

this is the fish i gave jeremy for his birthday. the contents of this bowl are about 70% underwater castle and 30% water. when we pointed that out he said "no! she sleeps in there! and plays in it! wouldn't you like to play in a castle?"
