Gabrielle and i are no longer friends

one of my hopes in coming to wilmington was that i would at some point have to evacuate for a hurricane. there was an announcement last week that hurricante wannabe gabrielle was likely to hit wilmington monday-ish and if that happened that we would have to evacuate uncw until wednesday.

Now i understand all of that may seem confusing so i have made this diagram to map out exactly what happened, and probably confuse you a little more. observe:

the smiley face represents me. the red arrow represents gabrielle's expected path which would have caused me to have to follow one of the pink arrows. the blue arrow represents her actual path. the yellow arrow represents her new expected path. the green arrow represents the path she SHOULD take, again, causing me to have to follow one of the pink arrows.
